Today in math class we did mental math. We got to draw smiley faces!! Other than that we are having a work period. Remember don't forget to work on your spread sheets on Excel, you need to have all formulas for 2-D and 3-D shapes and objects. They are due May 14!

Day of "The Letter"

Today we did mental math to begin the class. the remainder of the class is being used as a work period for accelerated math. Mr. Maks talked to students today that were below a certain point in their accelerated math, and that there would be a letter sent home the middle of next week.

Earth Day Games

Today we did Mental Math 26. After that Mr. Maksymchuk taught us a game called Take 1 or 2. The game only has a couple rules. The rules are it has to start at 0 and you can only add 1 or 2 after that. The person who says 20 out loud wins. After that Mr. Maks gave us a question asking what the highest number of McNuggets that you can't buy if you can only buy them in packages of 6, 9, and 20. Once you figure that out, Mr. Maks wants us to prove that it works. If we figured it out then we were supposed to continue to working on Accelerated Math.

April 19th, 2010

Today in math, we talked about the 'the law of cosine.' We learned about the time when we need and we would use that procedure the most. The two things are: the 2 sides and the included angle or all 3 sides and no angles. Mr.Maks also gave us 6 different types of the cosine laws. After we were done this lesson we continued to work on our accelerated math; for the remainder of the time.

one hour of trig

Today we started off with mental math. Next we were shown how "Law of Sin" works. which you have to pay attention too understand it.this video will help you it you did not get it the first time. We finish the lesson on Monday.

Another Sub Day

today we just did accelerated math,it was chance to cach up if you were behind

The substitute assigned us up to objective 30. If done, go onto the computer and go into the sub day folder and work on a new lesson when done.

We are learning how to solve angles on right angle triangles. We also learned how to solve the length of the sides on right angle triangles.
